2020 Circuit Racing Season Review In Pictures

After what seemed like an eternity the 2020 motor racing season finally got underway on the 25th of July. Equally it seems like an eternity since it finished it on the 11th of October. It was yet another action season packed with some brilliant races both north and south of the border with championships going down to the final race weekend.

A fantastic effort was put in by so many this year to get the season underway and maintained during the year and full credit to all officials, marshals and circuit owners to provide the correct safety measurements to allow competitors take part in their sport. Sadly it was all behind closed doors and the public missed out on some truly great races this season which were on a par with any in days gone by. Hopefully by the time next season comes round it will be back to pre Covid-19 and those who have not gone to car race meetings in many years come back to support the sport.

On a personal note I would like to thank the following: The Formula Vee championship and the Morrin family in hiring me to cover the season for them, Fergus Brennan and Ian Beatty of Mondello Park, the Tallaght Echo and Wicklow People for all their help and coverage of my work this year. I look forward to continuing the same in 2021. Wishing you all a Happy Christmas and New Year.

Barry.
